Below you’ll find our full selection of dog-friendly cottages, including luxury cottages and cottages with hot tubs that are bound to get humans smiling and tails wagging!

But what sort of dog-friendly activities can I enjoy on the Llŷn, we hear you ask? Luckily for you there is certainly no shortage of pet-friendly entertainment in this part of Wales.

(H2): Dog Friendly Fun across the Llŷn Peninsula

Naturally, the first thing any dog owner visiting the Llŷn Peninsula wants to know is, where are the dog friendly beaches? Well, luckily for you, they are everywhere! Llanbedrog beach is one of the area’s most beloved and is dog-friendly all year round. Located on the southern edge of the Llŷn Peninsula, this idyllic beach is perfect for a long dog walk and splash in the rolling waves.

If calm, remote beaches are your thing, then be sure to visit Porth Ceiriad. Located on the Wales Coast path and perfect for surfers, this beach is perfect for humans and dogs who love to breathe in the fresh sea air and get away from the crowds.

Speaking of beach walks, Abersoch and the Llŷn Peninsula offer a number of fantastic dog walks, along the Wales Coast Path and across the beautiful countryside that lies inland. A walk around Porthdinllaen, a historic fishing village bordering the Irish Sea, is one of our local team’s favourite dog walks. Along the way, you can stop for a drink and bite to eat at the lovely Ty Coch Inn before heading to the beach, past the lifeboat station and through the scenic golf course.

Our local team also recommend taking your pooch for a stroll around Porth Meudwy, a small cove at the tip of the Llŷn peninsula that was once the embarkation point for pilgrims making the journey to Bardsey Island.

Yet, while getting outside with your dog is easy in Abersoch and across the Llŷn Peninsula, knowing which indoor venues will allow them access can be trickier. When it comes to eating out, you’ll be happy to hear that our local team have got some top-tier dog-friendly recommendations.

The first is Cadwaladers in Criccieth. Made famous for its delicious ice cream, Cadwaladers is just as well known for its excellent food and drink and this relaxed, dog-friendly cafe is an ideal place in which to unwind. Another excellent dog-friendly cafe is Caffi Porthdinllaen in Nefyn, with outdoor seating and a menu serving excellent coffee and light snacks. The cafe is located right by the path that leads down to Porthdinllaen beach. Finally, we have to recommend Y Bryncynan, a recently-refurbished family-friendly and dog-friendly pub restaurant near in Morfa Nefyn near Pwllheli, perfect for a hearty evening meal.
