Pack your dog, get your kids, and invite your parents: it’s time for a gorgeous Welsh holiday! This beautiful retreat is a wonderful place to relax, connect with nature and spend quality time with everyone you love. Situated on the Llyn Peninsula, close to the village of Llanbedrog, you’ll have plenty of active, outdoorsy things to do, and then you can return to a wonderful cottage after your adventures and stretch out in the hot tub.

The views offered by this property are unparalleled, and best enjoyed while soaking in the hot tub. You can see right over the cliffs to two islands, and when you’re all bubbled up, you can move to the patio dining area for a BBQ or a glass of wine. As you head inside, you’ll find a kitchen/diner and a lounge with a wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings. There’s lots of wooden furniture, wood floors and beams, which give the place a classical feel. This property has two ground-floor double bedrooms and a bathroom. You’ll also find a twin room on the first floor, accessed by an exposed wooden staircase: perfect for kids and equipped with a little alcove area.

The cottage is 1.5 miles from the closest village, Llanbedrog, which has a gorgeous beach and pubs for hearty lunches. From here, you’ll discover plenty of coastal walks suitable for all, and you may even come across some rock pools or private coves for sandcastles. For real castles, check out Criccieth Castle (14 miles) and, while you’re there, visit the rest of Criccieth for local shops and other eateries. There are plenty of water sports available in the area, and you can find a surf school 4.5 miles away if you’re willing to try something new.

We had a lovely week. The cottage was excellent - comfortable and a lovely location. We would definitely return. We were anxious about the hot tub lid at one point, only to find a new one in place the next day. The oven often tripped the electrics but we managed. Tea towels would be nice and a way to dry towels when the weather is wet. However, oveRead morerall it is probably the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in and we thank you for a lovely break. Hide

We love the location and cottage - we returned to the same place we booked last year. The views are amazing and the outside space is superb. There were just a few things that we felt needed updating last time that still hadn't been addressed a year on so think looking at these would make the cottage even better. They were: 1. Patio door was stickiRead moreng and key difficult to use 2. Banister had broken wrung 3. Velux blind in top bedroom was broken 4. Parts of the verandah roof leaked Thanks Nancy Hide

A nice venue and spectacular views. The kitchen could have done with a few more utensils but those there were adequate. The beds were a little small for two tall people. I'd suggest summer duvets as the winter ones were very hot and there was no access to lighter ones, given its the summer. I think this is an issue in the area but there was a damp Read moreproblem but that didnt interfere with our holiday. Oh and the directions indicated a yellow house, its cream now so we got a little lost but were saved by very helpful locals. Observations aside we had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our short time at Bryn Melyn. Hide
