Property code: OC-ROSELL

This lovely cottage is located on the 75-acre Wern Fawr Manor Farm estate and is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for a weekend escape in a rural setting or as a base for a week exploring the Llyn Peninsula. The nearest beach is at Llanbedrog (2 miles), a pretty seaside village with a long stretch of sheltered sandy beach and colourful beach huts overlooking Cardigan Bay. It is a perfect beach for families looking to build sandcastles and splash in the sea.

A characterful cottage that is all on the ground floor level and retains the original high ceilings with exposed beams. A country style property with soft, calming tones and contemporary comforts; it’s hard to believe this was originally a pig sty. Enter a bright and cosy open-plan L-shaped lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can relax on the comfortable corner sofa and enjoy chatting or watching movies on the TV. A door from the lounge leads to the rear patio. The kitchen has everything you need to ensure meal preparation is a breeze. Completing this rural retreat are a shower room and three bedrooms - one double with en-suite shower room and two twin bedrooms. Outside, the private patio at the rear has garden furniture and a BBQ making it the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or a meal al fresco while you take in the countryside views.

There is much to enjoy in the surrounding area. The seaside towns of Abersoch (4.5 miles), Nefyn (11 miles) and Aberdaron (12.5 miles) all offer beautiful beaches, water sports and eateries or visit the traditional market town of Pwllheli (5.5 miles). Explore the local history with a visit to Criccieth Castle (14 miles) or the manor house and garden with views of the bay at Plas yn Rhiw (7.5 miles).

The saviours of our New Year's Eve! Our family (mum and dad , 2 teenage daughters and one of their older brothers) Had a stay elsewhere booked for a two night stay along with our two dogs. However disaster struck as we were informed late on the 30th December that our booking had a burst water pipe and were unable to accommodate us. Only at middaRead morey of 31st did we find Rose cottage and we are delighted we did. Alan and Helen were extremely welcoming and even invited us to their family fireworks display. The cottage itself is very comfortable with all the facilities you'd need during your stay. On the grounds there's a lovely woodland walk and the location is perfect for us as Llanbedrog beach is walking distance , Abersoch and Pwllheli a short drive and the rest of the Llyn peninsula are well within reach. Highly recommended and would stay here again Hide
