A graceful country house enveloped by emerald pine trees and set in the heart of Llanbedrog on the glistening Llyn Peninsula coastline. This grand property is a wonderful base for multigenerational family gatherings or a long-overdue reunion with friends. Set up camp in front of the colourful beach huts lining the golden shores of Llanbedrog Beach (500 metres) and while away the hours sunbathing and sea-dipping, before congregating for a family feast in the elegant dining space.

A working guesthouse in off-season, this traditional three-storey property features a homely interior with bold wallpaper prints, coordinated soft furnishings and inviting social areas. Park up in the gravel driveway and ascend the stone steps to the door. Hang outdoor gear in the entrance hall then venture into the front lounge. Warm chilly toes by the crackling wood burner or browse the bookshelf and curl up on the soft sofas with a holiday read. Top off glasses with a chilled bottle of bubbles then settle around the wooden dining table and toast to your special occasion. Rustle up a sweet treat in the charming farmhouse kitchen or perch at the breakfast table for a natter over a brew. Unwin with a restorative soak in the roll-top bath before retiring to your choice of six well-presented bedrooms – four with an en-suite and two sharing a jack-and-jill bathroom. Stroll through the landscaped lawn on your way to explore the delights of Llanbedrog.

Amble through the streets of Llanbedrog and soak up the culture of the Plas Glyn y Weddw art gallery (400 metres) before refuelling with fresh bakes at one of the local tea rooms (within 1 mile). For those seeking a faster pace, cruise through the rugged landscape in a stripped-back sports car with Seven Hire (4 miles) for a unique mountainside road trip.
