The former fishing village of Abersoch is now a lively resorts with all kinds of welcoming bars, cafes and restaurants. On its sandy main beach you can swim, sunbathe or try some water sports. For something different, book a boat trip to the St Tudwal’s Islands, spotting dolphins in the waters en route. There’s golf and a riding centre nearby, and surfers will want to try the famous waves at Porth Neigwl, 2.5 miles.
