  • Spend evenings soaking away the days in your own bubbling, private hot tub
  • Set in a quiet and tranquil spot with paths and country lanes on the doorstep

Property code: OC-WAG560

This attractive holiday home on the Llyn Peninsula makes the perfect rural retreat for couples and small families. The cottage boasts a tranquil, countryside setting, with a fantastic choice of walks on your doorstep. The coastal town of Pwllheli is 4 miles away, and has several cosy pubs and independent eateries. At the end of the day, dine on the sunny patio or sink into the bubbling hot tub.

The stylish former gatehouse is arranged across one level, and cleverly combines period features with contemporary design. The welcoming lounge is bright and airy, with comfortable seating, a wood burner, and sliding doors opening onto the woodland garden and patio with a hot tub, allowing you to extend the social space outdoors in summer months. There’s also a piano for musical guests to enjoy! The kitchen/diner has everything you need to cater for the group, as well as a breakfast bar for informal dining and an antique dining table. Completing the accommodation is a king-size bedroom and a twin. A sleek bathroom with a free-standing bath completes the holiday home. The outside area is enclosed and has a hot tub on a secluded patio, surrounded by wild gardens and woodland. There’s also a suntrap patio with furniture for al fresco dining.

Head into Pwllheli to wander amongst its narrow streets and peruse the independent shops and boutiques. The town also hosts a popular, open-air market where you can pick up delicious, local produce. Alternatively, while away a lazy afternoon on one of the two south-facing beaches. Nefyn (3 miles), a village on the north coast, also makes a lovely day out. Potter around the maritime museum or perhaps play a round of golf on the famous headland course.

We had a lovely time on our holiday at lodge. We visited barmouth beach, black rock sands and drove to Angel bay to see the seals! The property is lacking on a few things but was warm and comfortable (apart from the bed). The hot tub was a nice luxury and after walking all day helped with aching muscles.

A beautiful, comfortable cottage, equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. You really get the feeling of been in the middle of the woods, you can hear the main road a little as your not that far from it but it doesn't stop you enjoying all birds singing. Warm, clean and cosy secluded Lodge. Ideal location for easily exploring both sides of Llyn Peninsula. Well screened and enclosed garden and I imagine it's a great sun trap in the summer. Many thanks.

Cute property. Super helpful all being on one level, especially with children and a dog! House kept well, nice and clean upon arrival and a very generous welcome gift awaited us with the information folder (which was super helpful and even suggested some lovely places to visit). The location is great too.
