The adorable single-storey cottage is full of character, with gorgeous original features, exposed wood and stonework, and sweet furniture that’s in keeping with the style of the property. You’ll be welcomed into an open-plan lounge/diner, where comfortable armchairs sit beside a cosy wood burner, and there’s a pretty dining table for sharing romantic dinners. The kitchen, with its oak beamed ceiling and vibrant tiles, has everything you need to create delicious dishes. The separate utility room has a washing machine and dryer. When it’s time to say goodnight, retire to the beautiful double bedroom. There is also a single bedroom, for alternative sleeping arrangements. A large bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, steps lead down to a pretty garden, with a lawn, fruit trees, and a patio area for al fresco dining.
The Victorian seaside town of Criccieth is 4.5 miles away and is known as the gateway to the Llyn Peninsula. The town has a stunning sandy beach with mountain views, and fascinating 13th-century castle ruins on its headland. From here, follow the Wales Coast Path past hidden coves and tranquil beaches, to the harbour town of Porthmadog (9 miles). The town is steeped in maritime history and has an excellent maritime museum, as well as many independent cafes, restaurants, and shops.
