The light-filled living spaces of this attractive stone cottage are truly appealing. Set close to the beach in popular Abersoch, it’s a pet-friendly destination for family getaways and also welcomes a furry friend.

Blending original features with crisp, modern styling, this cottage has a light and airy feel and manages to be both chic and homely. The rooms on the ground floor flow open-plan from one to another: the kitchen, which has a Nespresso coffee machine for those who need their daily caffeine fix, is adjacent to the dining space, with its oak table for six. This, in turn, leads to the vaulted lounge, where an L-shaped sofa faces the TV and a modern wood burner provides cosy warmth for cooler evenings. A charming double bedroom with an en-suite shower room is also on the ground floor, while on the first floor there are two further bedrooms - a double and a twin - sharing a shower room. Outside, the lawned garden has wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, while the patio is an ideal spot for outdoor dining.

The Welsh language and way of life still flourish in the Llyn Peninsula, and the area is renowned for its wonderful coastline and beaches, water sports and walks. The cottage is about a mile from the centre of Abersoch, which has a variety of shops and places to eat and drink, as well as a safe, sheltered beach which is popular for water sports. Play golf or ride horses, both within 1.5 miles, or head to the National Trust house and garden of Plas yn Rhiw, 6.5 miles. It is 7 miles to Pwllheli, famous for its huge Wednesday market which has been running since the 14th century, and 12 miles to the Glasfryn Parc activity centre.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The facilities were excellent, and the kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals at home. The location is ideal, whether you're interested in walking, water sports, or exploring thRead moree surrounding towns and villages. There is a pub and caf within a 510 minute walk, which was very convenient. The cottage was particularly suitable for my elderly mum, as everything she needed was on one level and there were no stairs to manage. Our greyhound was also perfectly safe in the secure garden, and there are plenty of both short and longer walks nearby to enjoy. For those who prefer to dine out, there are several lovely restaurants in Abersoch just a short drive away. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. Hide

It's a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting but I can't walk very far and didn't find walking my dog from the cottage very easy. Think it just needs to be clear for future guests that walking to a shop or pub is quite a walk for someone who can't walk very far and there are few pavements. However the cottage and garden are so lovely it didn't realRead morely matter and pub and shops are only a few minutes in the car! The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was a real bonus. Would definitely recommend. Hide

Jennys Cottage is a well appointed stone built property in the quiet village of Sarn Bach. My wife and I only used the ground floor rooms which were large and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen has plenty of space and modern white goods and more than enough pots, cutlery and utensils. The lounge area is large and comfy withRead more a log burner and patio doors opening on to a large lawned area which was ideal for our dog to play on. The cottage is within easy reach of some lovely sandy beaches and about 5 minutes by car from Abersoch with its shops, pubs and harbour. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and walked miles on the beaches and enjoyed the hospitality of local eateries. We are looking forward to possibly visit the area and the cottage again next year. Hide
