This stunning property, situated less than 50 metres from Pwllheli Beach, is the ideal family holiday home. Cook up a storm in the kitchen area and eat at the table before retiring to the beautiful sofas to watch TV in front of the wood burner-effect gas fire until it’s time for bed. Down on the first floor, two spacious super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms (which can be made up as twins on request) with sweet nautical touches encourage a peaceful night’s sleep; both have en-suite shower rooms. Finally, the ground floor features a utility room, a bright shower room and a pleasant twin room with more coastal decor. Outside, the garden is ideal for a BBQ before you head through the gate down to the beach; there’s also a games garage here to challenge your fellow guests to table football matches.

For a change of scenery, head to Llanbedrog Beach (5 miles) or Criccieth Beach (10.5 miles); Criccieth Castle (9.5 miles) is also well worth a visit. Llanfair Slate Caverns (26 miles) offers a fantastic family day out through spooky tunnels and caverns, while Parc Glynllifon (16 miles) offers sculpture trails, historic gardens and treasure hunts to keep everyone busy.

The setting is wonderful, right on the beach with views to Snowdonia but Pwllheli is a dump. The cottage is ok for four but I don't think it would be comfortable for six. The house is spoilt for a ha'penny worth of attention. The three piece was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced and we could not find any garden furniture, just a couple of folRead moreding camping chairs and a (broken?) deckchair. The ensuite bathrooms for the main bedrooms are small and cramped and one of the showers only provided hot water intermittently. We did enjoy our stay but it could have been a lot better if the owners spent some money on new furniture. Hide

Lovely house in a great location. Generally well equipped and nicely decorated. However, we agree with previous reviews that the sofa is uncomfortable and the balcony decking needs maintenance. There is a lack of good outside furniture on the balcony.

With some properties on this type of platform, you think, yeah, its nice, but I couldnt live there. Theres not enough space. Not this one. This is genuinely a lovely big house, in an amazing location, that was ideal for our needs. But we did have various issues, starting with the beds not being made up as requested on our arrival. A visit from Read morethe maintenance guy was needed for the automated garage door self-destructing and trying to escape, and one of the showers leaking through to the floor below, through the smoke detector. We were there for 55 mph winds and these properties on the coast do take a battering. Some of the doors, flooring could do with replacing. But some of the things we came across have been mentioned in reviews before. The sofa and chairs arent comfortable at all (and dont seat 6). The cooker gets so hot on the outside that one of us burnt themselves brushing against it (but hopefully Ive helped by reattaching the knobs the right way round), the shower pressure wasnt good. It was quiet, clean and the beds were very comfortable Hide

The location is fantastic lovely beach on your doorstep. The house is well equipped and very clean. The house has 26 steps from the bottom floor to the top floor which are not too steep. Pwllheli town centre is 4 mins in a car or 15 mins walk away.

Had a lovely stay here. Location is fantastic with the sea view and the accommodation is very clean. Loved the games room in the garage and the gnome jigsaw when the weather was bad. The town is about 30 minutes walk away. Fantastic fish and chip shop in the centre. A few minor things let it down. The balcony decking needed oiling as they looked olRead mored and grubby. This ruined the appearance of the house from the beach. Shame, as the house itself is lovely. Also, the sofa needs more stuffing! Cooker Hide

The sea view is lovely (it's a single, not sandy beach) and the house is a good size, but in desperate need of some TLC - the kitchen and bathrooms in particular. We expected a relaxing break but were sadly disappointed and ended up leaving early.

I agree with the other reviews. Dog loved the beach and dunes. We loved the space with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Beds super comfortable. Sofa and armchairs practical. Balcony and decking are tired but we still loved sitting out with a brew and relaxing at sunrise and sunset (weather was great for the time of year). Such a quiet locationRead more. A couple of Adirondack chairs would be great out on that balcony. Hide

The property itself is superb, quite spacious, not cluttered, carpeted bedrooms and wood floored living area. The balcony view is beautiful. The only issue we have, and it's commented by others, the sofa and chairs are so uncomfortable. It was that bad my wife preferred to sit in a deck chair (1 of 2 found on the balcony} during our stay it was morRead moree comfy, i tried it and i have to agree. We were going back next year, well we will be going to a different property due to the sofa alone. Hide

The location is amazing, right on the beach with a fantastic balcony and beautiful views over the bay. Shame about the broken parasol as we had sunny and warm weather and were unable to sit out there during the day as it was too hot (believe it or not). Fabulous location right next to the beach. The house was very clean and welcoming. Lots of stairs but the view from the top floor was great. All the bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable with three good shower rooms. A well equipped kitchen a bit dated but everything you could need. The couch and chairs were not comfortable at all but theRead more open plan lounge/ kitchen/ dining area worked for us as a family. Difficult to keep sand out of the house as no outside tap. Hide
