Property code: OC-WAG710

A large, family-friendly property right in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula AONB, just 5 miles from Abersoch. Surrounded by a range of natural and historical attractions, this pet-friendly property features a spacious kitchen, five beautifully-presented bedrooms and a conservatory enjoying far-reaching views towards Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), and Cilan Point.

Hidden from the village of Botwnnog down a private lane, and with bright and welcoming areas throughout, this contemporary-styled, two storey property, is ideal for large gatherings, with plenty of room for guests to find privacy and sociable spaces both indoors and outside. The corner sofa in the living room is a popular place to relax, while the kitchen/diner is big enough for lazy breakfasts or guilt-free suppers at the day’s end when all anyone craves is good food in good company. The views from the conservatory have to be seen to be believed, but this is also a place to grab a quiet hour with a book or podcast. The nearby utility room will come in handy when outdoor kit needs sorting, and there is plenty of storage space, not to mention en-suite facilities, in the double bedroom, which completes the ground floor. There are four welcoming bedrooms on the first floor: a double bedroom, a single bedroom and two super-king bedrooms, one of which can be converted to a twin bedroom. The play area in the partially-enclosed garden is a big hit with youngsters, who can burn off steam while the adults gather around the BBQ.

There’s so much to see and do in the Llyn Peninsula, with quaint villages like Sam Mellteyrn (2 miles) and historic attractions including the gardens at Plas yn Rhiw (4 miles) well worth a wander around. Pick up the Llyn Coastal Path from Abersoch or experience stunning shorelines including Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), Llanbedrog Beach and Porth Towyn (all within 7 miles).

  • 5 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 1 super-king-size (can be made into a twin on request), 1 double, 1 queen-size, 1 single

The house is very spacious and in a wonderfully quiet location. (We stayed during the school summer holidays, with younger family members, who really enjoyed the play equipment on site). It was convenient to visit several beaches and a good base to explore the Llyn Peninsula.

Beautiful family home with lovely views, very comfortable and well equipped with plenty of outside space and a play area as well. Very rural location but within easy reach of big beaches.

The property is very spacious! Three generations of one family and we all had our own space. Tir Du is well situated for enjoying the surroundings areas. A different beach every day for the dogs!

Hello, Firstly, we had a lovely holiday at this cottage, so please view our scoring and extra info as purely constructive. The property location was fantastic - the reason for 4/5 was the drive down to the house, it had a fair few pot holes which put our vehicle through its paces especially laden with out luggage & people. Equipment at property wasRead more, overall good, outside as a suggestion and not a picky criticism, would be a garden furniture set. For us, we spend a fair amount of time in the home when holidaying and like using and lounging in the outside space but we wasnt able to do this here. The wooden picnic table, as okay for half an hour whilst eating but we did find this difficult without a parasol in the heat . Maybe a Pergola with a seating set? I would also like to suggest cutting the privet bush down to the level of the fence to enable guests to enjoy the stunning views on offer. It was such a little heat trap with beautiful views it was just a shame we couldnt utilise the outside space to how we saw its full potential. Cleanliness was spot on. 4/5 for comfort because all of the beds upstairs were super comfy but unfortunately my Mums who is both a pensioner and disabled did find the downstairs mattress uncomfortable because she could feel the springs. Also, again this is purely from our unique perspective and I do leave this particular piece of constructive feedback wherever we visit, because of my Mums lack of mobility we always choose properties with downstairs bedrooms with en-suite, which I feel a lot of older people or people with disabilities would do also, so its very often overlooked and unfortunately the downstairs bedroom comes with standard low toilets. A maximum height toilet would be an absolutely brilliant addition and a VERY welcome feature to persons with limited mobility. 4/5 given on value for money due to the suggestions above, which we personally missed. We would be likely to book again and with the addition of a comfortable and shaded outdoors space this would change to most definitely as the disability related stuff is a general feedback and not specific to this property alone. Overall, it is a beautiful house, in a lovely area, which was clean, spacious and comfortable. I was kept in contact with both before reaching and leaving the property, there was a lovely hamper and we had two weeks of glorious weather Hide

The cottage was lovely, well equipped and very clean. We were a large family group and plenty of room for us all, even my 20 month old Granddaughter was provided for. The views from the conservatory were beautiful and not far from stunning beachs and coastal walks.
