Surfers gather at Porth Neigwl, also know as Hell's Mouth, Porth Ceriad, and Porth Oer, known as Whistling Sands, to ride the notorious Welsh waves. Head here with Offaxis, Abersoch Watersports and West Coast Surf who operate great surfing tuition. Located in the heart of Abersoch these experts can also guide you in wake boarding, windsurfing, kite surfing and paddle boarding.
With a busy racing calendar sailing crowds gathering at South Caernarfonshire Yacht Club (SCYC) in Abersoch and Plas Heli, Pwllheli Sailing Club (PSC) for prestigious local, national and international event. Both offer great places to learn to sail, spectate events or even just to wine and dine whilst others dive in! Another great places to start your watersport journey is Abersoch Sailing School located right on Abersoch's long sandy main beach where a host of RYA approved training courses, hire, taster sessions and even a Pirates Club in the summer for smaller adventurers await.
Paddle boarding or SUP ( Stand Up Paddle ) has fast become a very popular sport all over Wales.
SUP’s are available for hire from Abersoch Sailing School and from Offaxis at the beach Hut on The Warren.
Boating and Aqua Jets.
If you like more power then head to Land & Sea where alongside paddle board and kayak hire, they also offer boat hire and aqua jets! Aqua jets are not for the faint-hearted but definitely a bucket-list experience for any adrenalin junkie!
