Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Wales with wonderful views of Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia beyond. beachesAbersoch's Blue Flag beach, with its fine sand and shallow water, is a 2 minute walk from the village centre. The village also enjoys the Harbour Beach and the Warren Beach all within walking distance. The adjoining coast of the Llyn Peninsula contains a total of 19 beaches, 3 of which have with European Blue Flag status and many are listed in The Good Beach Guide including Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth), Aberdaron, Porth Oer, Nefyn and Llanbedrog (National Trust). Uncrowded beaches are located at Tudweiliog, Porth Ysgader and Porth Colmon. Another lovely beach with small store and cafe is Whistling Sands, named for the squeaking sound made by the sand when you walk on it. places to eatAbersoch village has 4 pubs - the Vaynol Arms, St. Tudwal's Inn, The Front Door at The Riverside Hotel and The Brig at the Harbour Hotel. The Sun Inn at Llanengan, renowned for bar food, is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute stroll from Abersoch and 5 Degrees West combines lovely food with a children's play area and great views.
