Surrounded by the wonderfully sandy shoreline of the Llyn Peninsula, just moments from an endless myriad of walking trails and the Wales Coast Path, it would be hard to find a more peaceful cottage huddled in such a picturesque corner of a traditional Welsh village.
After adventuring around your peaceful surroundings, follow the warmth of the wood burner into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room which reflects the traditional village that surrounds you through some charming, handpicked touches and antique-style furniture. Head into the spacious farmhouse-style kitchen to rustle up a delicious locally sourced meal and enjoy catching up on the day’s events around the generous dining table. As the evening draws in, relax in the living space on the comfy sofas and warm chilly toes beside the wood burner. After a long day, you won’t be able to resist slipping under the covers of either of the two king-size bedrooms while children can carry on the day’s fun before lights out in the third bedroom complete with two sets of bunk beds. Children will love playing garden games outside on the wraparound lawn which also features a pretty patio perfect for al fresco dining.
Once a small fishing port, the bustling seaside town of Abersoch 2 miles away offers fantastic opportunities for surfing, sailing, coasteering and paddleboarding for you to get quickly acquainted with this magnificent area from its best watery angle. For a traditional day at the seaside, the long sandy stretch of Machroes Beach, back by Abersoch Golf Club, is only 0.5 miles away and the remote, sandy cove of Traeth Porth Ceiriad boasting the best surf in the area, is 2 miles from the cottage. Keen walkers can enjoy some scenic trails with truly breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay at the neighbouring village of Llanbedrog (5 miles).
