Escape to this colourful single-storey retreat and have a magical stay in North Wales. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, stone cottage is situated near Bryncir, close to the fringes of Snowdonia National Park and 8 miles from Porthmadog. In a great location for getting out and about on the Llyn Peninsula as well, it welcomes canine companions and has a lawned garden for relaxing outside in the sunshine.
Wander into the cottage to find a wealth of character and carefully chosen furniture and furnishings. The lounge, with exposed stonework and a beautiful wooden floor, is a generous space where you can light the wood burner and settle down for cosy evenings in together, perhaps in front of a film on the TV. The kitchen/diner, which has a range cooker, is another very generous room, with ample room for whipping up holiday feasts, dining together and unwinding on soft seating with a cup of coffee after dinner. When you are ready to turn in, have a long, hot bubble bath in the family bathroom then make your way through to either the double bedroom or the twin. The enclosed garden has a sunny terrace where you can enjoy your first cup of tea of the day as you watch the birds in the trees. The cottage has private parking.
Head 5.5 miles down to the beach at Criccieth to play on the sand and swim in the sea. The open stretches of Black Rock Sands, 9.5 miles away, are also popular with those keen to go rock pooling. Have a day out to Caernarfon, 12 miles away, to wander round the shops, dine out and see the impressive castle. Venture 14.5 miles into Snowdonia to visit the National Trust’s scenic Craflwyn and Beddgelert area, where there are woodland and lakeside walks.
